The philanthropy effort of UCSD’s FIJI has always been focused on the positive impact we can have in our community. That is why our community service has been geared towards making San Diego and the surrounding areas a better place for everyone. We work frequently with local organizations, such as the Feeding America Food Bank (formerly known as Second Harvest Food Bank), but also take the initiative to organize ourselves by completing beach cleanups and other small projects. FIJI of UCSD supports national organizations as well. So far, we have helped run three events with Special Olympics and organized three blood drives on our campus with the Red Cross.
